Mein Kampf is a historically important book, but, as literature it is undistinguished and nearly unreadable. Stylistically, it is repetitive and turgid. Although it was required reading throughout Germany during the Third Reich, Hitler himself was not pleased with the work. He recognized its defects of expression.
